Bushwalking, running, cycling and kayaking throughout the beautiful wilderness of Tasmania
Daryl Kerrigan made the word 'serenity' famous in the castle. It is the perfect word to describe some of the best parts of Tasmania. Of course, much like The Castle, I find it difficult to stay serious for too long, as you will find in the stories.
I have done a bit of travel myself and I honestly believe Tasmania is one of the best places in the world to live. Sure there are plenty of great places to go for holiday, but I would be hard pressed to think of a place I would prefer to live. There is so much natural beauty around us. All manner of wonderful entertainment and recreational opportunities are all within a relatively short distance and we have minimal problems with traffic (I say minimal as I still rage out a little when my journey takes an extra five or ten minutes on the Southern Outlet due to inconsiderate drivers) or pollution and there are so many truly great people down here. I know employment is not always easy for people and a number of my friends have had to move interstate for work. If you are lucky enough to live down here, don't forget how lucky you are and if you are a visiting tourist, make the most of it.
